Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dessert Artisan to join our team at the Lancemore Hotel Group. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and delicious desserts that exceed our guests' expectations.

About the Role
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create innovative pastry dishes using high-quality ingredients and presentation techniques.
  • Assist in daily food preparation, including preparing and assembling desserts across the pastry section.
  • Develop and refine recipes, experimenting with new ingredients and techniques to create unique dessert offerings.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
About You
  • Certificate III in Commercial cookery/patisserie (minimum).
  • 3 years post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Experience in a similar role in an a la carte hotel restaurant or functions kitchen will be highly regarded.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality desserts.
  • An understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
  • Availability to participate in a 7-day working roster of days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative and ability to work as part of a team.
