Job Overview:

This position involves delivering psychosocial support to individuals with mental health conditions. As a specialist in this field, you will collaborate closely with consumers, families, and carers to foster recovery and independence.

About the Role:

  • Ensure that all eligible consumers are referred for psychosocial support through appropriate service frameworks such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or Early Intervention Psychosocial Response Program (EIPRS).
  • Broaden access to psychosocial services by developing capacity within Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS).
  • Serve as the primary liaison between AMHS and NDIS/EIPRS providers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategies to promote psychosocial support services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive mental health support.
  • Provide education and training to staff on psychosocial support programs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in mental health, preferably with exposure to psychosocial support programs.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience in working with NDIS or similar service frameworks is advantageous.
