About This Role
This role involves managing and overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, financial, and program requirements.
Key responsibilities include leading and supporting a small team of engineers to deliver projects according to quality, safety, environmental, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a small team of engineers to deliver projects according to quality, safety, environmental, and budget requirements
  • Monitor project progress and construction performance against plans and contracts
  • Review and manage contractor communications, claims, variations, and extensions of time
  • Ensure adherence to contract specifications, approvals, and legislative requirements
  • Assist with risk and issues management and participate in project audits and quality reviews
  • Maintain effective document control and reporting systems
  • Provide technical advice on construction methods, traffic control, work programs, and compliance
  • Collaborate with project management and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and problem resolution

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer in large civil infrastructure projects, preferably in transport or road construction
  • Experience with government procurement processes, ideally involving TfNSW
  • Competence in project planning and scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively under pressure and meet deadlines
