Assistant Principal Job Description

**Overview:**

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team as an Assistant Principal. As a key member of the school's leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational vision and direction of the school.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and manage significant areas or functions within the school to ensure the effective development, provision, and evaluation of the school's education program.
  • Contribute to the overall management of the school through involvement in policy formulation and decision-making.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators.
  • Allocate budgets, positions of responsibility, and other resources within the area of responsibility.
  • Supervise the delivery of teaching programs.
  • Manage programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff.

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
