Job Description

We are seeking an Advanced Automation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and commissioning control systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, with experience in Allen Bradley PLC, Flex 5000 remote I/O, E300 motor protection relay, and Siemens LV drive configuration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and configure control systems to meet project requirements
  • Program and commission control systems to ensure smooth operation
  • Configure and test low-voltage drives
  • Interpret and work with P&IDs and electrical schematics
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian accredited four-year engineering degree
  • Five to ten years of experience in the iron ore industry
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLC, Flex 5000 remote I/O, and Siemens LV drive configuration
  • Familiarity with BHP WAIO or Port standard drive logic, including safety PLCs
  • Ability to follow P&IDs and electrical schematics
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Ethernet/DeviceNet communications network configuration (desirable)
  • Right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, PR holder, or valid Australian working visa)
