Job Opportunity:

The role of the Pre-sales Engineer is to support sales teams, partners and customers in driving adoption of EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) by delivering technical pre-sales support.

This entails acting as a technical subject matter expert, collaborating with customers to identify technical requirements and constraints, and proposing tailored EAE solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical pre-sales support to accelerate sales growth and increase conversion rates using EAE
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert to define and implement advanced automation architectures
  • Collaborate with customers to identify technical requirements and constraints, and propose tailored EAE solutions
  • Clearly articulate and demonstrate the advantages of EAE over conventional automation systems
  • Develop solution architectures and demos that showcase the innovation, efficiency, and value of EAE
About You:

You are a technically strong and commercially aware automation expert with a proven ability to design solution architectures that meet diverse customer needs.

Some key skills and qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in automation solution development and programming
  • Proven ability to design and implement system/solution architectures for industrial applications
  • Deep expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/DCS, and industrial networking
  • Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, etc.)
  • Experience with IIoT, IT/OT convergence, and modern development environments (Windows/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization)
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming and languages such as C/C++, Python, JavaScript
  • Networking experience across LAN, WAN, VLAN, and TCP/IP-based protocols
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
