Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement crime prevention strategies to protect our university community and assets.
- Lead investigations into criminal activities on campus, liaising with law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Manage security arrangements for special events and VIP visits, ensuring safety while maintaining our reputation.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality security training and awareness programs for university stakeholders.
- Conduct security reviews and provide expert advice to mitigate risks and threats to safety.
Requirements:
- A seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law enforcement or a similar field, possessing strong investigative skills and the ability to develop strategic security initiatives in a complex organisational environment.
- Substantial experience in law enforcement or security management at a senior level.
- Demonstrate expertise in criminal investigations, evidence gathering, and witness interviewing.
- Show strong skills in risk analysis and security planning for major events.
- Possess excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and delivering training.
- Have experience in developing and implementing crime prevention strategies.
- Show proficiency in analysing security data and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities in managing critical incidents and motivating teams.
- Hold relevant qualifications in law enforcement or security (desirable).
- Be willing to undergo a police check if required.
