About the Role
UGL Pty Limited is seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team in North-West Tasmania. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our capital works projects, working closely with our project managers and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure job is constructed to the technical, quality and customer requirements.
- Ensure that the survey of installations throughout the project is conducted in a professional manner with all results being reviewed and accepted as correct with actions coordinated and documented.
- Liaise with Project Manager to ensure job is on schedule.
- Provide a focal point for all technical based queries for associated civil/structural subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide engineering advice for subcontractors/suppliers.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparation of monthly reports and also attend the monthly report meetings.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering Qualification.
- Significant engineering experience throughout design, construction, and commissioning on Brownfields and Greenfields projects.
- Any water infrastructure experience will be desirable.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
