Job Description

This role is for a specialist physiotherapist to lead clinical practice, manage resources and drive professional development.


">Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans for specialist clinical practice, leadership of clinical teams and management of resources.
  • Provide expert advice on specialist areas of physiotherapy and mentor colleagues in these fields.
  • Ensure effective use of resources through sound clinical judgement and prioritisation of patient care.
  • Manage crisis intervention within the community and maintain timely documentation of clinical records.
  • Establish and maintain empathetic relationships with patients and carers, ensuring their involvement and co-operation in rehabilitation.
  • Communicate complex information regarding diagnosis, rehabilitation aims and expected outcomes of treatment to patients and carers.
Requirements
  • Specialist knowledge and skills in physiotherapy, including leadership and management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in managing resources, prioritising workload and mentoring colleagues.
  • Professional registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
