Job Overview

The Programs Officer will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of local and international programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Coordination - Manage and oversee projects, ensuring delivery, compliance with requirements, and reporting needs.
  • Support to Emergency & Development Initiatives - Assist in welfare, emergency, and development initiatives led by IRAUS or partners.
  • Program Enhancement - Conduct needs assessments, develop proposals, identify funding opportunities, and prepare reports for donors and partners.
  • Capacity Building - Strengthen partner organizations through training, support on financial management, safeguarding, and project quality.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation (MEAL) - Implement MEAL systems, analyze data, and promote accountability and learning across projects.
  • Community Engagement - Build relationships with partners, CALD communities, and represent IRAUS in sector meetings and forums.
  • Impact Storytelling - Collaborate with fundraising and communications teams to share program outcomes and impact stories.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Tertiary degree in International/Community Development, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in program/project coordination, with skills in project development, M&E, community engagement, and donor reporting.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, cross-cultural abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of charity sector standards, and strong organizational skills.
  • Attributes: Passion for humanitarian work, alignment with Islamic Relief values, respect for Islamic principles, teamwork, and independence.
