About Us

At St Vincent's, we strive to deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing oncology and haematology treatments. Our Day Infusion Services team provides seamless and personalised care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Ward Clerk to join our team. This dynamic role provides front-line support to both our Day Oncology Unit and co-located Oncology and Haematology consulting suites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient bookings using MOSAIQ, ensuring protocol compliance.
  • Conduct pre-admissions and health fund eligibility checks via IBA.
  • Prepare and distribute pre-admission paperwork and education packs.
  • Liaise with pharmacy for chemotherapy drug verification.
  • Coordinate tests and scans for patients.
  • Process admissions and discharges using IBA.
  • Support the broader nursing and medical team with reception and general administrative duties.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in MOSAIQ, IBA, and deLacy systems (desirable).
  • Experience in oncology/infusion or specialist rooms (desirable).
  • Commitment to infection control and patient safety protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
