Structural Engineering Leadership

We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to lead our national team in VIC, NSW and QLD. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting building projects, including transport hubs, data centres, social infrastructure, and defence projects.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading building design projects, working across multi-discipline teams, and providing technical guidance to team members. Experience in client-facing roles, contributing to pursuits, and demonstrating commercial acumen is highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities
  • Delivery of structural design on significant building projects with precision and efficiency
  • Proactively managing selected projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, and ensuring the integrity of the overall design and collaborating with other design disciplines
  • Seeking new opportunities with clients through project work by building on and/or creating new working relationships
  • Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk, mitigation strategies, and best value design options
  • Collaborating with other teams in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment
Key Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading structural design for buildings, including commercial, residential, industrial, and transport sectors
  • Substantial experience using ETABS, RAPT, and SPACEGASS (or similar) design software
  • Demonstrated technical, commercial, and delivery acumen, managing inter-disciplinary design interfaces and/or projects
  • Ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating, and delegation skills
  • Proven experience in delivery of medium to large-scale projects to clients through all project phases
  • Engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation; post-graduate qualifications are required
  • 10–20 years consulting industry experience
