Indigenous Community Liaison

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of First Nations Engagement Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement community engagement strategies that foster positive relationships with Indigenous groups
- Facilitate partnerships between organizations and Indigenous stakeholders to promote mutual understanding and collaboration
- Coordinate cultural events, workshops, and initiatives that support reconciliation efforts
- Advocate for Indigenous rights within the organization and externally
- Provide training and capacity building programs for staff members on Indigenous cultures and traditions
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures and traditions. A Bachelor's degree in Indigenous studies, social work, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required, along with minimum 2 years experience working in a similar role.
