Surgical Oncology Fellow Position

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled surgical oncology fellow to join our team. As a surgical oncology fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with gynaecological cancers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day medical and surgical care to patients in gynaecological oncology under supervision
  • Participating in the teaching of registrars, residents and medical students
  • Initiating and completing a research project involving gynaecological cancer
  • Being involved in the continuing development of the hospital as a tertiary referral centre
  • Surgical assisting at a private hospital every second Saturday

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Pursue a future career in gynaecological oncology or gain advanced surgical skills
  • Hold NSW Medical Board Registration or be eligible for registration
  • Have pre-FRANZCOG certification (year 5-6)
  • Have previous clinical and research experience, preferably with gynaecological cancer patients
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Be able to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Focused on providing patient-centred holistic evidence-based care
  • Be able to mentor and teach more junior members of the team
  • Commitment to patient safety and completion of mandatory training
