
Fellow Gynaecologist

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled surgical oncology fellow to join our team. As a surgical oncology fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with gynaecological cancers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing day-to-day medical and surgical care to patients in gynaecological oncology under supervision
- Participating in the teaching of registrars, residents and medical students
- Initiating and completing a research project involving gynaecological cancer
- Being involved in the continuing development of the hospital as a tertiary referral centre
- Surgical assisting at a private hospital every second Saturday
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Pursue a future career in gynaecological oncology or gain advanced surgical skills
- Hold NSW Medical Board Registration or be eligible for registration
- Have pre-FRANZCOG certification (year 5-6)
- Have previous clinical and research experience, preferably with gynaecological cancer patients
- Have good verbal and written communication skills
- Have good organisational skills
- Be able to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Focused on providing patient-centred holistic evidence-based care
- Be able to mentor and teach more junior members of the team
- Commitment to patient safety and completion of mandatory training
