Your next opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Production Supervisor to join our Asphalt Manufacturing team in Canberra. This role would be suited to individuals with a background in Front End Loader operation or those looking to be trained in this area.

Primary responsibilities will include dispatching and loading of trucks, ordering raw materials, record keeping, on-site quality assurance, participation in safety initiatives, and loader operations.

Your day will involve:

  • Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs and utilizing the docket dispatch system;
  • Front-end Loader & Bobcat operation
  • Control Room operations
  • Day-to-day administration of the Plant including stock control of raw materials;
  • Work closely with the laboratory team;
  • General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance.

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a production environment, preferably in asphalt manufacturing;
  • Front End Loader expertise is highly desirable or a willingness to be trained;
  • A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus;
  • FEL ticket (highly desirable);
  • Other relevant tickets that would benefit are; Forklift, EWP, Confined Space;
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to multitask and prioritise competing deadlines;
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday Dayshift hours and night shift when required (not frequent) and option to travel to assist with other projects.
