Operational Risk Manager RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Operational Risk Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks within the Finance function.
  • This includes developing and implementing risk management strategies, identifying and assessing potential risks, and monitoring and reporting on risk exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Embedding and upholding the Operational Risk Framework across Group Finance.
  • Reporting and escalating any breaches of risk and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining current department risk registers in relation to findings and treatment plans.
  • Producing papers for and providing input into the Divisional Operational Risk Committee Meeting.
  • Facilitating and/or participating in reviews of events, scenario analysis, root cause analysis and control validations.
  • Promoting a strong risk culture through advice, support and awareness on risk matters.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with CA/CPA qualified preferred but not essential.
  • Operational Risk experience in Banking and Financial Services Industry (Line 1 or 2 risk roles).
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk associated with a Finance function including some knowledge of Treasury, Market & Liquidity obligations.
  • Passion for pushing boundaries, challenging status quo and being at forefront of where risk can enable business.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with highly developed influencing and collaboration skills to deliver organisational outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and complex tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Risk lens - Understanding customer and business needs and knowing when to focus on big picture vs zoom into details.
