About the Role:

  • We are seeking a Cultural Health Ambassador to contribute to our efforts in improving population health and reducing inequalities in health outcomes.
  • You will work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities to develop and implement evidence-based programs that promote health equity and address health disparities.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to promote cultural competence and health literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing culturally sensitive health education programs for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • You will provide training and support to healthcare staff on cultural competence and health literacy.
  • You will contribute to the implementation of our health literacy roadmap and deliver health literacy programs to all communities across the region.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, or related social sciences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Program coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
