We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team in the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered physiotherapy care to patients admitted to the hospital.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position (0.6EFT) that requires the successful candidate to work largely Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. The role also involves working regular weekend and public holiday shifts.

  • As a Physiotherapist, you will provide evidence-based, person-centered physiotherapy clinical care to patients predominantly in the ED and EDSSU, as well as acute wards as needed.
  • Ensuring a holistic multidisciplinary approach to patients and their carers is crucial for this role.
  • Integral to providing responsive, flexible physiotherapy care to improve timely and effective care, patient flow and discharge, and subsequently enhance patient experience.
What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a recognised degree in physiotherapy, full current and unlimited AHPRA physiotherapy registration, and a current Victorian driver's license.

  • Broad and relevant clinical physiotherapy skills and experience in an acute hospital setting are highly desirable.
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt, problem-solve, and prioritise tasks in a timely manner within a complex fast-paced work setting.
  • Willingness to assist with weekend and public holiday rosters is essential.
  • A compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to effective patient care and management is required.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment is vital.
