Job Description

The role of a Program Manager, Defence Supply Chain Uplift is to facilitate the growth and development of South Australian businesses in the defence sector. This will involve fostering close relationships with key international defence primes, South Australian businesses, and relevant government agencies to develop and deliver programs that enable local suppliers to access future defence contracts.

This position requires a high level of experience working in the defence sector or industrial supply chains, as well as an understanding of state and commonwealth defence policies. The successful candidate will be able to work independently or as part of a team to determine priorities, plan, implement, evaluate, and manage tasks, projects, and research.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in the defence sector or similar environments, and possess excellent presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise presentations and deliver them with confidence to a range of stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A proven track record of success in a defence-related role or equivalent experience in industrial supply chains.
  • An in-depth understanding of state and commonwealth defence policies, including the Australian AUKUS Submarine Industry Strategy, Defence Strategic Review, Defence Industry Development Strategy, Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities, and the South Australian Defence Industry Workforce and Skills Report and Action Plan.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise presentations and deliver them with confidence to a range of stakeholders.
