Life Insurance Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage a small portfolio of life insurance claims across IP/TPD and related benefits.
This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including funds, trustees, and internal partners. You will need to have extensive experience in life insurance claims management, strong technical expertise, and excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Manage a portfolio of 20–25 life insurance claims across IP/TPD and related benefits.
- Work across multiple arrangements and policies, requiring strong technical knowledge.
- Act as a technical expert within the team, providing guidance on strategy and decision-making.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, supporting their development and capability uplift.
- Lead and contribute to quality assurance and process improvements.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:- Extensive experience in life insurance claims management, preferably in Group and/or Retail.
- Strong technical expertise across IP, TPD, TI, and Death claims.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and uplift capability in others.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with experience managing complex and disputed claims.
- Familiarity with multi-policy / multi-arrangement portfolios is highly desirable.
- ALUCA membership and/or Certificate IV in Life Insurance (Kaplan) is highly regarded.
