Administrative Assistant in Indigenous Health

The Thurru team is seeking a proactive and organised Administrative Assistant to support the Director and broader team. This unique role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in indigenous health and wellbeing, engaging deeply with indigenous culture and being supported in your learning journey.

This part-time position is fixed term at 3 days per week for 12 months. As the Administrative Assistant, you will provide high-level support to the Director, including managing their calendar, coordinating meetings, making travel bookings, processing credit card reconciliations, and preparing correspondence.

You will also support cultural and community events, coordinate internal and external stakeholder engagements, and help foster a culturally safe and inclusive working environment. Occasionally, you may be required to travel between campuses and work outside business hours.

To succeed in this role, you must be highly organised, self-directed, and able to manage competing priorities with confidence. You should be culturally aware and committed to supporting indigenous health and wellbeing, with strong communication skills and experience in providing administrative support.

Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or in indigenous health settings is highly desirable. The remuneration for this position is commensurate with skills and experience.
