We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Perioperative Services Unit at the Mid North Coast Local Health District. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the operations of the perioperative department, ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted efficiently, safely, and with high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate unit/service activities to deliver safe and efficient healthcare.
- Ensure the human, physical, and financial resources of the unit/service are managed within a defined budget.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing service.
- Lead and manage staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, openness, respect, and empowerment.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients, and external agencies.
- Use contemporary change management methodologies to drive organizational change.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Extensive operational management knowledge and skills in a relevant setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use a variety of computer applications.
- Extensive leadership experience using contemporary change management methodologies.
