About This Role

This is a Temporary position working in a 24 hour rotational shift work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative tasks, supervise and monitor individuals in custody and visitors to the Watchhouse.
  • Maintain accurate records of prisoner files and data.
  • Operate electronic surveillance and movement control systems effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Queensland Police Service policies and procedures regarding Watchhouse records.
  • Assist in processing individuals received into custody.
  • Provide for the welfare, comfort and security of prisoners.
  • Monitor medical needs of prisoners and arrange medical assistance as required.
Requirements:
  • Possession of an Open C Class Drivers Licence is essential.
  • A professional approach to uniform wearing and adherence to QPS dress code is expected.
  • Working a shift work rotational roster is mandatory.
