Quarry Operator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quarry Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate a range of mobile and fixed plant including loaders, excavators, dump trucks, watercarts, and crushing/screening equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety, health and environmental standards.
  • Operate mobile plant and equipment.
  • Undertake housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Occasional manual handling and general labouring may be required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience operating mobile plant in a quarry or mining environment with strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Proven commitment to health and safety and ability to work effectively in a team is necessary.
  • A current driver's license; RII competencies and Certificate III in Extractive Industries (highly regarded) are also required.
  • Leading hand experience is highly valued.
