Job Title: Consultant Anaesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Head Medical in Rockhampton, Central Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity for a medical professional to work in a regional city that offers a great lifestyle and a competitive remuneration package.

About the Role

As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthesia services to patients in our hospital. You will work closely with the Rockhampton Director of Anaesthesia to ensure that anaesthesia services are delivered safely, reliably, and efficiently.

  • Provide anaesthesia services for a range of procedures, including general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, and gynaecology.
  • Conduct acute pain service ward rounds and pre-anaesthetic assessment clinics.
  • Participate in the after-hours and weekend on-call roster for the Department of Anaesthesia.
  • Work collaboratively with other medical professionals to provide excellent patient care.
About the Hospital

Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility that provides a range of medical services to the community. Our hospital has four operating theatres and two procedure rooms, and is supported by an 8-bed ICU/HDU. We are committed to providing high-quality patient care and are involved in teaching and research.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College for Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent. You will also need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
