Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and manage a team of professionals providing support and care to children and young people in out-of-home care. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of our Residential Care Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead, motivate and manage a team of Child & Family Practitioners and Youth Workers.
  • Oversee the caseloads of direct reports and provide practical support as required.
  • Manage the Family Intervention Service, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and internal policy.
  • Ensure delivery of program services in accordance with program budget and local business plans.
  • Develop, lead, motivate and manage a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ensure a consistent standard of quality is delivered for the program.
  • Manage risks and issues arising in the course of service management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals, families and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective.
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • A strong focus on quality practice and reporting capability.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of clients.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of trauma and attachment on children and young people and complex behaviors.
