Job Opportunity
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide care and support to clients with disabilities.
- Deliver high-quality support services in accordance with client NDIS plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, grooming and mobility assistance.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Offer respite care to clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Establish effective communication with clients, their families and other members of the care team.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being and safety of clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the NDIS field.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to complete (highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
- Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers and weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Health and safety knowledge and skills.
- Ability to work with diverse clients, considering their abilities, cultural backgrounds and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Opportunities for ongoing training and development.
