Critical Care Role Overview

Our team is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinarian to join our multidisciplinary referral service. As a Veterinary Specialist in Critical Care, you will be responsible for the treatment of primary accession and referred cases in our emergency and critical care department.About the Role:
  • This is a full-time position that involves shared care of hospitalized patients from other specialist departments, as well as management of cases in the ICU involving discussion and assistance from multiple specialist disciplines.
  • You will work closely with our Criticalists and other specialist teams to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Treatment of primary accession and referred cases in the emergency and critical care department
  • Shared care of hospitalized patients from other specialist departments
  • Management of cases in the ICU involving discussion and assistance from multiple specialist disciplines
Requirements:
  • Current Veterinary Registration with the ability to be registered or currently registered
  • Experience in emergency and critical care highly regarded
  • Veterinarians with 3+ years of general practice experience encouraged to apply
  • Dedication to team and willingness to pitch in and help colleagues
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships with clients, staff members, and referring veterinarians
