The role of an emergency vet nurse is a highly rewarding and challenging position within the veterinary field.
As an emergency vet nurse, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care under busy conditions. You will assist in anaesthetic monitoring and care for critical and ventilated patients.
Additionally, you will utilize advanced equipment such as RX Works, Smartflow, and Idexx blood machines to deliver efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Transition from general practice to emergency veterinary care in a supportive team-oriented environment
- Provide exceptional patient care under busy conditions
- Assist in anaesthetic monitoring and care for critical and ventilated patients
- Utilize advanced technology to deliver efficient patient care
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in a busy general practice, referral, or emergency setting
- Availability to work various shifts across a 24/7 roster
- Friendly, adaptable, and capable of working independently or in a team
- Strong work ethic, efficiency, and multitasking skills
