Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Dover Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes and personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate the activities of production, including scheduling machines and setting production goals.
- Maintain records of employee hours and attendance, complete weekly payroll, and monitor the production and assignments of employees.
- Supervise team leads and communicate goals, priorities, and schedules.
- Perform daily walks, inspections, reviews, and audits to monitor quality and efficiency in all production areas.
- Work with various departments to evaluate processes, make recommendations, and implement improvements for production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing approaches throughout production with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations and safety procedures.
- Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Implement and monitor work instructions, SOPs, and cross-training.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker complaints or grievances.
- Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, promotions, disciplinary actions, or ways to motivate employees.
- Significant experience in a manufacturing setting, including experience in a supervisory role.
- Ability to monitor others and identify and solve complex problems.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, including working with individuals in varying roles and departments.
- General computer skills, including skill in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn new computer programs and software.
- Demonstrated ability to control emotions, work effectively under pressure, and multi-task.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Kaizen.
- Must be a team player and willing to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and engage in continuous personal development.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to wear all required PPE.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
This is an onsite position.
