Claims Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Claims Specialist to facilitate the return to work and health of claimants. This role requires extensive knowledge in Workers Compensation, as well as empathy and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex claims portfolios for government agencies.
  • Partner with stakeholders to meet service standards.
  • Determine liability decisions and assess treatment requests in a timely manner.
  • Document claims decisions accurately.
  • Utilise effective claims management systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Meet key compliance and performance measures.
  • Support newer team members and provide guidance on complex claims.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' recent experience in Workers Compensation or personal injury roles.
  • In-depth understanding of PIAWE, complex claims liability decisions, litigation, and work capacity processes.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong time management skills and adaptability to change.
  • Interest in leveraging emerging technologies.
