About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Mental Health team at Northern Beaches Hospital's Ward 3C. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with various mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred, evidence-based care.
- Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, Graduates, and Students.
- Effectively work within scope of practice and demonstrate clinical competencies.
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes including recognition and timely response to patient deterioration.
- Work as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, manage own worktime, and personal well-being.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.

Our mental health service comprises 63 beds, configured into four distinct units: a 20-bed acute care unit, a 6-bed short-stay unit, a 15-bed older persons' unit, and a 22-bed private ward, providing a range of specialised care options for our patients.
