The successful candidate will foster a culture of excellence and respect within the department, ensuring staff are equipped with the resources and guidance necessary to drive student progress. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Learning Support Department, providing strategic direction and vision
- Developing and implementing targeted intervention programs, tailored to the individual needs of students
- Driving inclusive and differentiated teaching practices, promoting equity and access for all learners
- Establishing effective communication channels between staff, families, and external professionals, ensuring seamless collaboration and support
- Modeling exemplary practice, inspiring others through their passion and dedication to education
Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and driving educational outcomes
- Expertise in evidence-based pedagogy, with a deep understanding of current global educational discourse
- Proven track record of improving student learning outcomes, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to curriculum development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, marked by integrity and compassion

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Special Education, with experience in leading and delivering impactful individual, small group, whole class, and whole school intervention strategies
- Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing
- Current registration with relevant professional bodies
