Trauma Response Specialist


About the Role

This position is designed to provide critical incident response services, incorporating emergency response, critical incident support, planned support services, disaster response and incident forums. Using Psychological First Aid (PFA), stepped care and referral pathways, our Trauma Response Specialists offer comprehensive support to clients.


Responsibilities
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions, providing emotional support and counseling to individuals affected by traumatic events.
  • Apply trauma management expertise and consultancy services to help organisations develop strategies for mitigating the impact of traumatic incidents.
  • Assess workplace issues, identify intervention programs and offer solution-focused advice to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively and produce clear reports.
  • Deliver Employee Assist services where applicable.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, demonstrating negotiation and facilitation skills.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Behavioural Sciences and registration with the relevant professional body are essential.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a psychologist or social worker is desirable; training in Psychological First Aid is highly valued.
  • A current driver's license and own vehicle may be required.

  • Excellent time management, report writing skills and a can-do attitude are highly valued.
