Structural Engineer Role

A highly skilled and ambitious Structural Engineer is required to join a dynamic consultancy environment in Melbourne. This exciting opportunity will enable you to gain hands-on experience in building design, working with a talented team of engineers.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Progress towards responsibility for project sections, working closely with senior engineers.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques to solve problems, ensuring compliance with BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Assist senior engineers with analysis, design production, and calculations, providing valuable insights and support.
  • Prepare calculations and analysis of building structures, utilizing your knowledge of theoretical engineering principles.
  • Liaise and coordinate with builders, architects, and services engineers on design issues, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
About the Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
  • Graduate membership with Engineers Australia, demonstrating your commitment to professional development.
  • Understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • 0-3 years of structural engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to apply theoretical engineering principles to practical situations through analysis and interpretation, driving innovative solutions.
  • Problem-solving/analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a logical approach.
