About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at GenesisCare, based within the North Shore Health Hub in our Medical Oncology/Haematology Day unit in St Leonards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop effective care plans.">
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and blood transfusions with precision and attention to detail.">
  • Foster a supportive environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual care to patients, family, and friends.">
  • Deliver comprehensive patient education to ensure informed decision-making and optimal outcomes.">
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Oncologists and Haematologists, to provide seamless care.">
  • Maintain professional development through ongoing learning and goal-setting to address gaps and desired growth areas.">
  • Ensure high-quality care by adhering to policies, procedures, and best practices.">
  • Contribute to team success by assisting with goals and objectives.">
  • Bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and 'can-do' spirit to work each day.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Holds current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.">
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and their carers.">
  • Exhibits clinical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate care effectively.">
  • Is committed to quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.">
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team.">
  • Desirable: Experience in Oncology or related field.">
