The successful candidate will be part of a small, dedicated team making a big impact – supporting children and families and helping shape the future of paediatric palliative care in NSW.
About the PositionThe Paediatric Palliative Care Service (PPCS) at John Hunter Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced specialist to join their team.
- Provide specialist paediatric palliative care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings
- Participate in after hours support and statewide on-call advisory services
- Collaborate with internal and external healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Contribute to education and training for medical students, junior doctors, nursing and allied health staff
- Engage in research, quality improvement and service development initiatives
Applicants must possess:
- Fellowship of the RACP and Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (or equivalent)
- Current specialist registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary teamwork and compassionate care delivery
- Strong communication, leadership and teaching skills
