Infrastructure Engineer Opportunity

Atwell is seeking a skilled engineer to support water and gas utility infrastructure projects across Northeastern Ohio. This role suits early to mid-career engineers with expertise in overseeing projects, working with municipalities, and driving field work forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support utility infrastructure projects involving water and gas line replacements, upgrades, and new development support
  • Coordinate and manage the permitting process and municipal procedures
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, municipalities, and internal teams to ensure project continuity
  • Conduct site visits within the region (local travel only) to monitor project progress
  • Collaborate with design teams and review engineering packages
  • Track project timelines, budgets, and client expectations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • 2–6 years of experience in water, gas, or electric utility projects
  • Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and basic project management principles
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, especially in client and municipal coordination
