Subcontract Manager Job Description

As a Subcontract Manager at DRD Group, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the contractual lifecycle of subcontracts, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed in accordance with the agreed-upon terms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Oversee the entire subcontracting process, from procurement to close-out, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and manage costs related to subcontractors' expenses, ensuring alignment with the project's budget and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records and reports for all subcontracts, providing timely and transparent information to stakeholders.
  • Progress Monitoring: Oversee the progress of subcontractors' activities against the project schedule, identifying and mitigating potential delays or issues.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to subcontractors' performance, costs, and compliance, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact between subcontractors and the project team.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in a related field, such as Finance, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Previous experience in subcontract management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Ability to manage multiple subcontractors, with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
