This role provides an opportunity to work within a legal team dedicated to empowering women in navigating the legal system. Our mission is centred around respecting and considering women's rights.

  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation in civil law matters
  • Represent clients in courts and tribunals, including as a duty lawyer
  • Deliver legal support to criminalised women, particularly those impacted by domestic and family violence and systemic disadvantage
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver wraparound services
  • Undertake outreach travel to remote communities to provide legal services
  • Assist with logistics and delivery of community legal education and outreach events
  • Support and contribute to law reform, advocacy and community legal education
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement to promote women's rights
  • Maintain legal files, compliance and reporting for regulatory obligations
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Laws and eligibility for a Practising Certificate in the Northern Territory. Experience in civil law is essential, and understanding of domestic and family violence and trauma-informed practice will be highly regarded.
