Senior Software Engineering Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced senior software engineer to lead technical strategy and governance across a suite of digital products. Key objectives include defining the technical roadmap, promoting scalable systems through governance and design reviews, resolving technical blockers, and championing continuous integration and improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate the technical vision for supported products.
  • Promote maintainable systems through effective governance and design review processes.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and provide escalation support.
  • Advocate for continuous integration and improvement practices across teams.
  • Standardise technical practices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with best practices and relevant frameworks.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Mentor technical staff and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, architectural designs, and other critical materials.

The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, proven experience in software development using .Net and Angular, and ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and architectural designs. Additional requirements include proficiency in collaboration tools, version control systems, and Agile methodologies.

You'll be joining a high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing a key whole-of-government system. The team values innovation, continuous improvement, and exceptional delivery.
