We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Orygen. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical triage, intake, advice, support, advocacy, assessment, and brief intervention services to young people with mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical psychological assessment, formulation, and individual intervention for a variety of mental health issues to young persons referred to headspace.
- Work with an appropriate level of autonomy as part of a multi-disciplinary team and maintain a clinical case load as required to meet program targets.
- Participate in regular clinical case review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure appropriate, consistent, and coordinated service pathways and service delivery response for young people and their families/carers.
- Liaise with General Practitioners, psychiatrists, social workers, teachers, and educational well-being officers, as well as other service providers regarding the referral for psychological services and to facilitate a coordinated care for the young person.
- Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (such as psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing) and full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for registration with AASW.
- Able to demonstrate competence in provision of mental health care, including completion of mental health assessments; risk assessment and crisis intervention/safety planning; evidence-based individual and group interventions to young people experiencing mental health and/or substance use problems.
- Demonstrated ability to determine and plan for a young person's recovery and support needs, employing a shared-decision making approach.
- Ability to work hours between 5-8pm weekdays and some Saturday hours as directed by the Clinical Services Manager.
- A current Victorian's driver's license is required.
- Salary package $78,052 - $96,686 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience + 11% super + NFP salary packaging up to $15,900 + $2,600 meals and entertainment card.
