About Samaritan House Coordinator role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the position of Samaritan House Coordinator. This is a vital role in our Specialist Homelessness Services, where you will work closely with various stakeholders to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations, including donations, cleaning, and volunteer coordination.
  • Liaise with maintenance teams for upkeep needs and direct contractors on-site.
  • Maintain accurate property records and tenancy management.
  • Manage tenancy processes, including inductions, inspections, and rent reviews.
  • Represent the organization at VCAT Tribunal hearings.
  • Onboard and roster volunteers through internal systems.
  • Complete required forms, case notes, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Submit necessary reports and data within 48 hours.
  • Manage telephone inquiries related to homelessness services.
  • Maintain filing systems and provide reports as needed.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.

About You:

  • Social Work qualification or relevant tertiary education.
  • Experience working with complex clients and challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to collaborate and encourage teamwork.
  • Acknowledgement and responsiveness to diversity.
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
  • Current Working with Children's Check.
