Established in Epping, our client is a reputable FMCG distribution services firm renowned for their commitment to excellence and innovative approach to delivering value to clients.

This permanent, full-time position offers a salary of $90,000 plus superannuation. The role comes with some travel within Victoria and flexible working arrangements but limited opportunities to work from home.

About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced HR and Safety Advisor to develop and implement HR and safety policies, conduct workplace safety audits, provide advice on compliance with legislation, manage ER investigations, and assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • The successful candidate will promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, coordinate with management on workforce planning, and provide support to employees on various HR-related topics.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective HR and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Conduct regular workplace safety audits to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans.
  3. Provide expert guidance on HR and safety legislation to ensure the company remains compliant.
  4. Manage employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  5. Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding new staff members.
  6. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters collaboration and productivity.
  7. Work closely with management to develop and implement workforce planning strategies.
  8. Provide ongoing support to employees on various HR-related matters.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources and/or Workplace Safety are essential.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and databases is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR and safety laws and regulations is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A strong organisational and problem-solving ability is required to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
