Join us as a highly skilled Underground Shotfirer to play a key role in our team at the Cadia site in New South Wales.

This 7/7 rotating roster position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with Blast Operators, overseeing all aspects of blast loading, tying, and firing.

As a senior member of our team, you will deliver high-quality shotfiring services in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, working closely with other experts to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in upholding our core value: Safety is our Priority, Always;
  • Perform shotfiring duties including magazine management, blast loading, tying, and firing in accordance with drill and blast designs;
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the blast crew;
  • Support the training and development of new team members;
  • Collaborate closely with the blast crew to deliver exceptional service to our clients;
  • Maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions.

Requirements

  • A strong team-oriented mindset;
  • Proven experience as an underground shotfirer;
  • A current NSW Shotfiring Licence or eligibility to transfer from another state;
  • Valid Security Clearance (UHL);
  • A deep commitment to safety and operational excellence.
