About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced team member to join our outdoor maintenance crew in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing green spaces across council-controlled roadsides and open spaces.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work. You will be responsible for operating various mowing equipment safely and efficiently, performing regular inspections on equipment, and ensuring lawns and green spaces are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and enhancing green spaces across council-controlled roadsides and open spaces.
  • Operating various mowing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Performing regular inspections on equipment.
  • Ensuring lawns and green spaces are maintained to a high standard.
  • Completing service requests as required.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in zero turn mowing and brush cutting of open spaces.
  • Valid MR Manual Drivers Licence (highly regarded).
  • White Card.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team and/or individually.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Willingsness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
