Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team at Saké Restaurant & Bar, The Rocks. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring compliance with WH&S procedures, and supporting the sous chef and head chef with menu planning and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S procedures, including food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Support the sous chef and head chef with menu planning, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
  • Train junior chefs on kitchen procedures and protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position or as a Commis, Demi Chef, or Cook.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
