About the Role

Challenger Limited is a leading investment management firm managing a significant portion of Australia's retirement savings. We're seeking a highly skilled Analyst to join our Asset and Liability Management and Liquids (ALM and Liquids) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liquidity Management: Oversee daily liquidity needs, execute repo funding, and ensure statutory liquidity requirements are met.
  • Investment Execution: Execute liquid investment strategies and associated hedging activities across various asset classes, including commodities, equities, interest rates, and foreign currencies.
  • Cash and Collateral Management: Manage cash requirements and exchange collateral.
  • Project Support: Contribute to the migration of our portfolio to a new trading system, driving operational efficiencies in the process.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years relevant industry experience, including exposure to fixed income markets, derivatives, and financial risk management.
  • Advanced numeracy, modelling, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to work with complex problems and concepts and make decisions based on available information.
  • Strong commercial awareness – understanding internal and external business drivers and ability to maximise financial performance.
