Clough Ltd., in collaboration with BMD, is excited to announce our recent engagement by the Northern Territory Government to provide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction services for the Darwin Ship Lift facility.

We are actively seeking a Quality Inspector (Civil) to enhance our Quality team, specifically for the Darwin Ship Lift Facility. Reporting directly to the Project Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for supervising the activities of subcontractors, ensuring that Quality Control surveillance and testing procedures are effectively executed.

This position will operate on a FIFO roster, with a schedule of 2 weeks on and 1 week off.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting and ensuring adherence to the Project Quality Management System
  • Collaborating effectively with Construction teams, Subcontractors, and Client QA Representatives in a transparent team environment
  • Implementing quality documentation to ensure compliance with established codes, standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Managing and approving Inspection & Test Plans
  • Conducting daily inspections in accordance with Project Specifications
  • Documenting daily inspection findings
  • Validating the quality competencies of personnel assigned to construction tasks

What you will contribute to the team:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within an engineering and construction setting
  • A qualification in Civil Engineering or a relevant Trade
  • Certification as an Auditor
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information in a disciplined and constructive manner
  • Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting technical requirements outlined in Contracts
