Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Roads Inspector to join our team at Civil Services Group. As a key member of our infrastructure construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that road construction projects meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of Transport and Main Roads' policies, standards, and specifications to inspect road construction projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including daily diaries and test results.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project progress and quality.
  • Provide administrative support, including surveillance and recording of documentation generated during construction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a related field, including laborer, foreman, and/or supervisor roles.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Civil Roads Inspector or Surveillance Officer on civil roads infrastructure construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Transport and Main Roads' policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and file management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and access to own transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with computer-based diarising or reporting software.
  • Ability to relocate to Southeast Queensland or willingness to relocate.
